Hmm…why is everybody enjoying their time in JC??? I don’t seem to get the point. I thought it was supposed to be a torture for everyone…Song Yang is loving those chemistry tutorials… Amalina is starting to love the lecturers in MJC…Jie Rong seems to be addicted to dragon boating…Nicholas and Mendy love the VJC spirit (Nic said it was lively.)…Navin has a hilarious lecturer who has a friend named Hossan…Wow…is JC life so entertaining???

Roderick will be starting his DPA programme THIS FRIDAY!!! Argh…I’ve to wait till 28 Jan!!! By then, the results would be out and judgement day arrives for me…if I didn’t do well, all I could say to myself is,”better luck next time!” If I did well, you will be expecting to see a crazy, lunatic man jumping about the hall, rushing out of TK and well, who knows what will happen next?

It’s just crazy…seriously. For these past few days, I have been browsing through the newspapers in search for answers. I have browsing the MOE website in search for the date for the release of the results. And all MOE could say was:

“The exact registration dates will be announced in the media together with the announcement on the release of the GCE ‘O’ Level Examination results.”

Argh…I want to know the date!!! I need answers!!! I’m desperate.
Hopefully, it’s on 18 Jan.

The first track of the album sounds a bit wierd. Even the name is wierd…It is called,”Baba Says Cool For Thought”. After listening to it, I reckoned that it is meant as a intro to the album. Oh…If you are wondering why I said that this track is wierd, it is because there is no singing or rapping at all. It’s just a woman talking some stuffs in your earphones. Lolx.

I always thought Hip hop/Rap genres aren’t my cup of tea, so, some credits have to be given to Lupe for designing this album very neatly. Technically, Lupe cleverly put the pieces of the music together such that there is some elements of surprise in it. Take for example, the eighth track, “Gold watch”, has a repeating starting tune that, well, caught me by surprise when I listened to it for the first time because I was wondering why my music player repeated the first few beats again, only to realised that it was a clever technical element introduced by Lupe.

However, that’s not all there is to this cool album by Lupe. If one noticed carefully, some songs do tell a story. “Hip-Hop Saved My Life” is one of such songs. Try listening to it! It is a story about a struggling rapper.

I really applaude those artistes who tried telling a story through their songs. Lupe did a great job out of this song…this song is simply addictive after you hear over and over again.

Most of Lupe’s fans would have agreed with me that this is the best song on Lupe Fiasco’s album. It is called “Intruder Alert”. Try listening to the story being narrated by the song!

Very meaningful indeed…I didn’t catch the story when I listened to it for a few times but I managed to catch it after looking at the lyrics…haha…I know I’m lousy…There are three parts to the song: First, it is about a girl being raped and then opening up her heart again. Second, it is also about a guy who becomes a drug addict to block the pain of not having love in his life. Third, it is about a father who is fed up of being poor so he sends his daughter to have a better life.

However, I thought that a few songs, like Go Go Gadget Flow, Coolest and Paris, Tokyo, do not reach the standards of the other tracks which are more meaningful and more attractive to listen to. Nonetheless, you can’t always expect all tracks of an artiste to be perfect, right?

And I just realised that this logo had been pasted here for 5 years already…

The album starts off with a short but impressive song with a length of 2.55 minutes, named “Voice of R&B”. In this song, Jaheim managed to mix power and smoothness successfully in this R&B track, thus, setting the standards for the rest of the tracks and giving people the impression that this album would be great listening to.

“Never” by Jaheim.

This song really carries the classic feel of R&B/Soul…The tune is not messy even though Jaheim keeps on repeating words like “Baby” and “Never”. In my opinion, it’s a good love song but not the best track in this album.

Besides “Never”, there are other awesome tracks that really make this album worth the money to buy. The next track that I love to hear from this album is named “I’ve Changed” and it featured Keyshia Cole. Try hearing it.

Many people claimed on the forums that this is the hottest R&B duet ever and I agreed. In fact, I feel that this one is much more better than “Hate that I Love You” by Rihanna feat. Ne-yo. The starting of the track is quite cute. Jaheim collaborated with the right person because Keyshia Cole has this clear rhythm while she is singing to the song and her vocals fit this song. One of the best songs in this album!

“Have you ever” is meaningful and you will feel like dancing to the tune and beats. The way Jaheim sings it allows people to relax and unload any stress or burden. Recommended to put inside your Ipod or MP3 player…

But hey, this album has flaws too. I feel that Jaheim used similar beats and style to sing his songs. Songs, like “Life of A Thug” and “Lonely”, may make it big only for a short term and I reckon that after a while, people may feel tired listening to it.

However, on the bright side, Survivor is actually a cool game to be in…It’s really an adventure but if I was ever inside the game, I guess I will be the first one to be out cauz I am so gullible and easily bullied and so, everyone will start bullying me on the first day and I will be kicked out later…Haizz..I can be evil too. (.wicked laughters.)

Okay, I am really rotting at home now… I am really envious of all those people who are in JC now. They had a great time at orientation last week….mass dance and all…They are still having fun crashing lectures here and there…They are still having fun observing teachers and their wierd behaviours…They are still having fun learning new stuffs like advanced Mole Concept. And…I am still rotting at home. Argh…I feel so useless!!!

Luckily, DM asked me to help out in some TOUCH Youth project at TKPS or else I am really going to feel useless. “O” Level results are going to be released either next week or the following week. I really hate the suspense…It’s like some sort of roller coaster ride. When will I finally put my mind at ease???

Speaking about Mass Dance at JCs, it seems that everyone is enjoying it…even people whom I thought would never touched Dance at all are enjoying it too…Wow…Magic….

My DPA programme will only starts at 28 Jan and the “O” Level results are released before the programme starts. Great, I really need to have my desired grades or else there goes my 150 bucks…
